The Brief:

HelioFlux is a pioneering healthtech startup using quantum mechanics, biophoton emissions, and AI to radically improve early-stage cancer diagnostics. As a biotech company with a complex scientific product, they faced challenges in articulating their value proposition to investors and crafting a compelling narrative for their go-to-market positioning. They brought in Lee to help position the founder/scientist as a thought leader, direct social media strategy, develop investor-ready materials, and translate advanced technology into a story that resonates with investors.

Lee partnered closely with the HelioFlux founding team to prepare for their pre-seed fundraising round, guiding capital strategy, messaging, and investor outreach while also supporting their accelerator applications. She played a hands-on role across fundraising and brand visibility—helping build investor credibility, and lay the groundwork for early customer traction through preparing to launch their first pilot.

  • Advised co-founders on application and interview process to Techstars, a top tier healthtech AI accelerator program based in Baltimore in partnership with John Hopkins

  • Developed social media content and engagement strategy to increase visibility on LinkedIn & X and positioned the founder as a thought leader in the biotech x wellness space
  • Created a press kit for the founder to increase exposure and gain press & podcast opportunities
  • Developed pipeline of leading podcast and press outlets

go-to market

  • Advised and developed go-to-market strategy, pricing strategy, sales materials, messaging, and sales processes
  • Collaborated on survey to get customer feedback and prove willingness to pay to inform pricing strategy
  • Conducted cold outreach to top tier dermatology clinics in Beverly Hills, CA, secured and facilitated pitch meetings with these clinics for their first pilot
  • Created Letters of Interest for dermatologists to review & sign to participate in upcoming skin cancer detection pilot
